These are questions i'm asked quite frequently, so here ya go.

So is Backseat Goodbye a band, or are you a solo artist?
Backseat Goodbye is made up of me, Chad. I write all of the lyrics, all of the instruments, and do every little thing that has to do with BG. So yes, this is a solo project. (I always refer to BG as a band simply because "solo artist" just sounds so whimpy to me)

How did you come up with the name, Backseat Goodbye?
Sorry, but really there's no interesting story at all as to how I came up with the name. It just popped in my head, I wrote it down on the list with the other names I came up with, and I ended up liking BG the best.

Will you marry me?
Of course.

Where can I find more of your songs?
At my Purevolume. I've got 35 songs on there, and about 28 of those are downloadable.

When are you touring again...and will you come to my town?
I'm pretty much constantly on tour, so just keep an eye on my upcoming shows and eventually you'll see me coming to your town.

So what inspires your lyrics and music? And what bands influence you?
Everyday life, basically. There isn't a song that I've ever written that hasn't had some sort of piece of my past, present, or future in it. And some bands that I think really influence me are: The Format, Bright Eyes, Jack Johnson, The Weakerthans, Tilly and the Wall, The Beatles, The Mountain Goats, Third Eye Blind, and wow, i could take the list on forever.

That stuff's always available at all of my shows... and it's all also available at my online store Here. As of now none of my albums are available in stores.

Do you really run your myspace account, or do you have someone else do it?
I run every little bit of my myspace account, send every message, comment, bulletin, and type every blog. And so you know, I read every last message and comment sent to me here...though I can't always respond, please know that I see everything you all write me, and it makes me more than glad to know you all care... it's really one of the things that keeps me going.

Are you a rockstar?
NO. Sorry, but I'm a normal college kid. I watch the same tv shows as you, wake up in a normal bed like you, drive on the same side of the road as you, etc...

How long have you been playing music?
Well, I started BG in August of 2004, but I think i've been playing guitar for about 5 or so years now.
